What is a Lucky 31 Bet?

Now this is a bet! You pick 5 selections, and 31 total bets are generated for you. It's a mammoth bet. To get an idea of how this can work in the real world, just click here. In the example, I have two short priced favourites and the rest are outsiders. Change the status column in the calculator to Win / Lose for different combinations of the selections. This will help you get a feel for how losing selections can affect your profits. Notice how it's not a complete disaster even if all long-shots lose. And notice how just 3 winners will leave you nicely in the money. The Lucky 31 give you even more chance of winning than the Canadian.

So, how exactly do those 31 bets break down? Well, it very similar to the Canadian or Super Yankee except in this one the 5 single bets are included too. This leaves in total 5 Singles, 10 Doubles, 10 Trebles, 5 four-fold accumulators and 1 five-fold accumulator. It's a real monster, although of course you only have to worry about your 5 selections. All the permutations will be taken care of for you by the bookies.
