A Yankee is a full cover bet in which you choose 4 selections. These 4 selections are then used to create 6 Doubles, 4 Trebles and 1 Four-Fold accumulator. Overall, that's 11 bets. Unlike its cousin the Lucky 15, this bet type doesn't include any single bets. Click here to add some example odds for a Yankee to the betting calculator. If you set the two highest priced odds to lose, you'll see that with a Yankee it's possible to have two losers and still be (marginally) in profit. If you set the two short priced selections to lose, then the profit is even greater. With a Yankee, then, it's possible to hedge your bets with more certain selections and hope for a big payoff should all of them romp home.
